KAMBRI

The Australian National University, Canberra

ColonySix was the Development Manager of the $270M, 42,000m2 redevelopment at the heart of the Australian National University’s (ANU) Acton Campus.

The company’s inagural project was the $270M redevelopment of the heart of the ANU’s main campus (now called Kambri) in Canberra. Involved from the initial ‘seeds of an idea’, through to the first full-year of post-completion operations, the project demonstrates ColonySix’s capacity to deliver transformative change in complex stakeholder environments, and exceed all expectations on completion.

The reinvention of the ‘urban village’ at the centre of the campus has been recognised as unique amongst university redevelopment projects, particularly considering the ANU’s ‘garden campus’ setting. The project was completed on time, on budget, and set a new environmental sustainability benchmark for university campus developments. Importantly, from the project’s outset.
