Port Kembla
ColonySix is engaged by BlueScope to manage the preparation, and now delivery, of a Master Plan for part of the company’s landholdings at Port Kembla.
One of the most significant land transformation and job creation opportunities in Australia, it involves the reimagination of some 200 hectares of greenfield and industrial lands adjacent to the largest steelmaking facility in Australia, within the established port precinct, an hour south of Sydney.
The Master Plan contemplates over 800,000sqm of potential employment, training, education and research space; cultural and recreational venues; destination retail and supporting services; along with extensive parkland and public realm areas. With the Master Plan completed in 2023, the project is currently advancing through planning pathways and development strategies for a number of catalyst projects.
